You will be compelled to stare at Oleg Shupliak's optical illusions for a considerable amount of time, not because of how skillfully they were made, but rather because of what each illusion holds. A picture of a face is hidden within the lovely surroundings of nature.

Sometimes a person's face is so skilfully concealed that other people may have trouble locating it. Never give up. If you keep looking at the image, a face will change right before your eyes. Without Oleg Shuplyak's inventiveness, his abilities to transform art into precisely crafted illusions would have been lost to us.

1. The Master of Faces, Oleg Shuplyak

On September 23, 1967, Oleg Shupliak—a current architecture student—was born in the Ukraine. His primary interest was painting, thus he chose to study architecture at the Lviv Polytechnic Institute.

He acquired the ability to carefully arrange photos inside of a composition while attending the institute.  He started painting renowned people into his oil paintings in his spare time. He became one of the most talented and well-known illusionists of our time thanks to his distinctive style.

2. The Oil Paintings by Shupliak's Secrets

Do you ever wonder what Shuplyak was thinking when he started working on his very first oil painting? Did he suddenly get the thought to add a second layer on top of the first? The unknown! He only provided us with fascinating optical tricks that trick our minds, that much is all we know.

His genius in producing not just one, but two photos is amazing. It appears as though he combined two oil paintings into one. The artist is renowned for hiding the people, items, coloring, and objects of the first image in a second image. A second image of renowned figures, including Zeus, Uncle Sam, Charles Darwin, John Lennon, and others, protrudes from the first image. The deceitful artist enjoys misleading the observer by playing with their perceptions.

3. The Mind Games of Shupliak

The second image is plainly discernible in some of his oil works. As a result of the first image getting lost due to its extreme visibility, viewers struggle to recall it. The artist's original notion of visuals truly confounds our minds. Squint your eyes and step back till you can see the second image if it is not immediately apparent.
