그녀는 스페인에서 태어나 Castilla-La Mancha 대학교에서 미술을 전공하고, Polytechnic University of Valencia에서 그래픽 디자인 및 일러스트레이션 석사 학위를 받았습니다. 그녀는 아이들을 위한 책들을 그리는 것으로 유명한데요, 현재 어린이를 위한 그림책, 광고용 일러스트 제작 등 활발한 활동을 하고 있습니다.

Hello, I'm Erica Salcedo and I'm freelance illustrator. I'm living in the peaceful town of Cuenca (Spain) where I was born in 1983. After studying Fine Arts in Castilla-La Mancha University, I specialized in graphic design and Illustration doing a masters degree at the Polytechnic University of Valencia.

 

My work is focused on children's illustration. My illustrations are inspired by my everyday life, and my imagination does the rest. My style is a mixture of hand drawing with digital techniques, simply executed with a pinch of humour. I love drawing (obviously), travelling, animals, drinking tea every day, eating sweets, and not taking life too seriously. But especially, I love to work in diverse and creative projects.

 

Since I started my illustration career, I had the pleasure to work with a lot of great clients, creating picture books, illustrating young novel books, designing greeting cards, illustrations for stationary, making comic or educational books among others.Erica Salcedo is an illustrator, born and raised in Cuenca, Spain. She graduated from Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha with a degree in Fine Arts, before pursuing a Master’s degree in graphic design and illustration from Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. Erica discovered her passion for children’s illustration while studying for her master's. Erica creates her illustrations digitally in Adobe Photoshop. Her illustrations and characters always have a pinch of humor, with colorful scenes filled with small, funny details that give the whole piece a unique personality. Throughout her career, Erica has had the opportunity to work with many publishers around the world, including in Spain, Great Britain, and North America. In 2018 her work for the series “Kid Normal” was selected by the Junior Library Guild and nominated for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize. Erica has spent the past twelve years drawing and drinking tea, and she hopes to work on many new, exciting projects.
